Ingredients
- 1¼ cup (120 g) uncooked pasta
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp msg
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup pasta water, adjust
- 1/4 cup fresh cream
Garnish
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp chilli oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, add a generous amount of salt and cook the pasta according to package instructions (usually 7–10 minutes). Reserve about ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
- Heat butter and chilli oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add gochujang and a splash of soy sauce and cook for a few minutes, letting the flavours develop.
- Season with vinegar, salt, pepper, msg and brown sugar and deglaze the pan with the reserved pasta water and mix well.
- Add the boiled pasta along with the cream on lowest heat and combine until the sauce is smooth and creamy and coats the pasta well. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes for the sauce to thicken.
- Garnish with more chilli oil, parmesan cheese and fresh parsley and serve hot, enjoyy!
