Ingredients
Chilli Cheese Filling
- 2 cubes processed cheese, grated
- 50 g mozzarella (1/4 of a block), grated
- 1 tbsp softened butter
- 4 green chillies, chopped
- handful of fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 red onion, chopped
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp oregano
More
- 4-5 slices of bread
- butter, to toast
Instructions:
- Make the filling: Grate processed cheese and mozzarella (or any cheese of your choice) and add them to a bowl. Add softened butter, chopped green chillies, coriander and red onion. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder and oregano and mix everything together till well combined.
- Assemble the toast: Take good quality bread and spread the chilli cheese filling generously over one side of each slice, making sure to cover it evenly.
- Toast the bread: Heat a pan over medium heat and add some butter. Once the butter has melted, place the bread filling side up in the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until the cheese is completely melted and the bottom of the bread turns golden brown and crisp.
- Serve: Remove from the pan, slice in half and serve immediately while hot and melty, enjoyy!
