These fries are made in the airfryer and the recipe honestly couldn’t be easier. There are just a few simple steps and the result is crispy, golden fries that feel so indulgent but are much lighter than deep fried ones.
We start by parboiling the potatoes in salted water, this step is key because it softens them slightly without fully cooking them. That way, when they go into the airfryer, the inside finishes cooking while the outside gets that perfect crisp. It’s a little trick that makes a big difference and the whole thing comes together with just oil, salt and potatoes ♡

3 Ingredient Fries in Airfryer

Ingredients
- 6 potatoes, peeled and sliced into sticks
- salted water, for boiling
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt to taste
Equipment
Instructions:
- Peel and slice the potatoes into sticks. I used a crinkle cut knife but a regular knife works just fine too.
- Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water for 10 minutes. This step is super important since the goal is to parboil them, not cook them all the way through. That way, when we air fry them, the inside finishes cooking while the outside turns golden and crispy.
- Drain the potatoes well and pat them dry using a clean towel. The drier they are, the crispier they’ll get in the air fryer.
- Toss with a little olive oil and salt to lightly coat all the pieces.
- Preheat your airfryer to 200°C add the fries in a single layer. Airfry for 15–20 minutes, shaking once halfway through. Around the 10 minute mark, open the basket, give everything a good shake and pop it back in till the fries are crisp and golden to your liking and serve hot!
