This is my creamy high protein yogurt pasta, the kind of dish I make on days when I genuinely don’t have the energy to cook but still want something fresh, flavourful and satisfying. This pasta comes together in just 10 minutes with almost no active cooking: the pasta boils on its own and the tofu cooks in the air fryer while you make the sauce. The creamy yogurt base gives it a light, tangy richness, the dried herbs add freshness and the chilli oil brings everything together with heat and depth.
It’s also a recipe you can customise endlessly. If you’re not in the mood for tofu, you can swap it for paneer or even boiled chickpeas. You can also add in chopped fresh vegetables like cucumber, onion, tomatoes or bell peppers for crunch and freshness. Every bowl tastes creamy, herby and comforting and it’s one of those dishes that feels put together without actually requiring you to spend any proper time in the kitchen!

35g Protein Creamy Yogurt Pasta

cook time

Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked whole wheat pasta (around 50g dry)
- 100g tofu, chopped
Creamy Sauce
- 150g high protein yogurt or curd (I used skyr)
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice, optional
- 1/2-1 tsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp dried mint powder
Garnish
- chilli oil
Instructions:
- Boil the pasta: Boil a pot of water, add salt and whole wheat pasta and cook according to the package instructions, which for me took about 7 minutes. Once cooked, drain it, rinsing it under cold water to remove extra starch, drain again and set aside.
- Airfry the tofu: While the pasta cooks, chop your tofu into small cubes. Sprinkle a little salt and place the tofu in your airfryer. Airfry at 200°C for 7 minutes until it’s cooked through and slightly firm.
- Make the creamy yogurt sauce: In a bowl, combine high protein yogurt with honey, garlic, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, onion powder and dried mint powder. Mix everything really well until the sauce turns smooth and creamy.
- Assemble the pasta: Add the cooked pasta and airfried tofu into the bowl with the sauce. Mix everything together until the pasta and tofu are well coated.
- Finish and serve: Top generously with your favourite chilli oil and serve!
