Ingredients
- 2 slices bread
- 1-2 tbsp green chutney
- 1 tbsp garlic chutney
- onion, sliced
- beetroot, sliced
- tomato, sliced
- capsicum, sliced
- boiled potato, sliced
- blue lays (or any wafers of your choice)
- 1 cheese slice
- sprinkle of chaat masala
- 1/2 tbsp salted butter per slice of bread
Garnish
- 1 tbsp green chutney
- 2 tbsp sev
- 1/2 cube processed cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Take two slices of white bread and spread a generous amount of green chutney on one slice and garlic chutney on the other.
- I used my homemade sandwich bread in this recipe. I also did inclusions of carrot and beetroot to get a fun speckled look.
- On one slice, layer thinly sliced vegetables. I used tomatoes, capsicum, onion, boiled potatoes and beetroot. Make sure everything is sliced thin so the sandwich presses well.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala over the vegetables. Place a slice of cheese on top and add a handful of wafers of your choice. I used blue Lay’s for that classic masala crunch. Close the sandwich with the other slice of bread, chutney side down.
- Spread a generous amount of butter on both outer sides of the sandwich. Toast on a pan or sandwich toaster on medium heat till both sides are golden and crispy and the cheese has softened.
- Slice into quarters. Top with more green chutney, some sev and grated cheese, enjoyy!
