These cheesy jalapeno rolls are ridiculously easy to make but so so addictive. The filling takes barely 5 minutes to put together and once that’s done, you just wrap it inside spring roll sheets, seal the edges and deep fry (0r even airfry) till golden and crispy.
I like serving them with a sweet chilli honey sauce: the sweet, spicy dip balances the salty, cheesy filling perfectly and just makes everything taste even better!

Ingredients
Cheese Filling
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup pickled (or fresh) jalapeno, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- salt to taste
Wrapper
- spring roll sheets
- cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water)
More
- neutral oil, for deep frying
Dipping Sauce
- 2 tbsp chilli oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions:
- Grate cheddar and mozzarella and add them to a bowl along with softened cream cheese, a little mayo, chopped jalapeños and seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix well and the filling is ready in just a few minutes.
- In a small bowl, make a cornstarch slurry by mixing cornstarch with water. This helps seal the rolls properly so the cheese doesn’t spill out while frying.
- Place the filling on a spring roll sheet, apply the slurry on all four edges and fold and roll tightly, sealing it well.
- Deep fry on medium heat till golden and crispy. You can also brush the rolls with oil and airfry them at 200°C for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot with a sweet chilli honey sauce and it's just so, so goood!
