Parle Monaco Cheeslings is a snack which I find highly addictive because of how light, munchable and savoury it is. One of my favourite biscuits is the Malkist cheese biscuit, which has cheese stuffed between crispy crackers and is topped with sugar. I got the idea to use Cheeslings to replicate the taste of Malkist in cake form using cheesling and it worked – oh, it worked so so beautifully!
Why make a cake out of Cheeslings?
If that’s the question you’re asking, I want to ask you: why not? Cheeslings are buttery and savoury and when paired with just a bit of sugar, you get the most delicious sweet and savoury combination.
Imagine a subtle version of cheese and caramel popcorn which if you haven’t tried that combo, you’re seriously missing out! This cake is a fun twist that brings together the best of both worlds, creating a super simple yet unique treat that will pleasantly surprise your taste buds.

Directions to make this cheesy cake
Take a blender and add 2 cups of cheeslings to it along with sugar. Pulse to blend into a fine powder. To the powder, add milk and the rising agents: baking soda and baking powder and gently fold them in till the batter is nice and smooth. Grease a baking tin (any microwave safe dish will work) and pour the batter into it.
